Since our inception, Q has been committed to producing content that changes the way Christians think and interact with culture. In 2007, Q Founder Gabe Lyons released his first book, unChristian, which changed the way Christians viewed themselves and started a conversation that continues today. Last year, he followed up with The Next Christians, which casts a vision for the future of the American Christian movement. Today, we are pleased to announce the next Q book in our series: Veneer: Living Deeply in a Surface Society by Tim Willard and Jason Locy.

Veneer explores the realities of consumption, technology, and celebrity that are rampant in our culture. Standing on the shoulders of great Christian thinkers from Bonhoeffer to Lewis, they ask hard questions about the affects these trends are having on our society and on us as human beings created in God’s image. Readers will be challenged to root their identity in God, rediscover the beauty of human contact and rest comfortably in our flawed reality.

Jason and Tim will be presenting their ideas at Q Portland, encouraging the church to strip down the veneer in their own lives and inviting listeners into a life of freedom, honesty and beauty.
