Johnny Carr

Johnny Carr is National Director of Church Partnerships for Bethany Christian Services, America's largest adoption agency. As a conference speaker and orphan care advocate to denominations and national religious associations, he has been able to speak in venues such as the Catalyst Conference and at Saddleback Church. Prior to coming to Bethany, Johnny was a Pastor of Ministry and Leadership Development at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. While at Hillcrest, he led the church in establishing its first orphan/adoption ministry, which sponsored mission trips to orphanages and resulted in the adoption of several children. He resides in Pensacola with his wife Beth and his four children: two born to him and two adopted.

A Comprehensive Approach to the Orphan Crisis

Many Christians are capturing a vision for orphan care and adoption. But according to a leading adoption advocate, we don't always get it right. The answer is not building more orphanages or relying only on inter-country adoption. We need a comprehensive strategy for getting the 163 million orphans and vulnerable children into loving homes.
