Joshua LaRock

Joshua LaRock

Josh LaRock is a young and quickly emerging artist passionate about the renewal of the classical painting tradition. It was not until after exploring a career in the world of music that Joshua found the calling of fine painting to be too strong to ignore and so he sought the instruction of renowned painter Jacob Collins at Water Street Atelier in New York. Soon after graduating, and only three years after beginning his own studies, he was invited to teach as a core instructor of The Grand Central Academy of Art where he currently instructs. Joshua’s studio paintings are evolving toward large-scale narrative and genre scenes influenced heavily by the painters of the 19th century, while his body of work also includes portraiture, still-life and landscape.
