Mark Regnerus

Mark Regnerus is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Texas and faculty research associate at the UT Population Research Center. He is author of Premarital Sex in America (Oxford University Press, 2011) and Forbidden Fruit: Sex and Religion in the Lives of American Teenagers (Oxford University Press, 2007). A scholar who can raise hackles both in the academy and the Church, Regnerus took up the mantle of marriage in early adulthood in 2009, with articles appearing in both The Washington Post and Christianity Today. He lives in Austin with his wife Deeann and their three children.
