Todd Deatherage

Todd Deatherage

Todd Deatherage is co-founder of the Telos Group, a Washington D.C. -based non-profit organization dedicated to educating American leaders about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the imperative of working for its peaceful resolution. The Telos Group believes that the only solution to the Holy Land's conflict is one that affirms the inherent dignity of all the people who live there and which promotes peace, justice and security for both Israelis and Palestinians. Todd describes this work as authentically pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, pro-peace, and pro-American. He previously spent sixteen years in public policy positions, including service as the Chief of Staff to a U.S. Senator and in the U.S. State Department where he worked in the Secretary of State's Office of Policy Planning.

Middle East Uprising

As Libyan revolutionaries rejoice in overthrowing Muammar Gaddafi's brutal reign, Egyptian and Tunisian protesters continue to rebuild their countries. Revolution came to the Arab Spring from within, and it continues to brew throughout the Middle East. How can we cut through the noise to understand the role the U.S. plays in this unstable region? Todd Deatherage of the Telos Group sifts through the chaos to explore these events through the lens of our common humanity and God’s kingdom.
